2018 - Diabetes UK
For 2018 we have been invited by Bobby's friend, Anton, to visit him while we cycle some of the coast of Brittany.
Our friend Anton and his family are directly affected by Diabetes with their daughter, Ana-Luise, suffering from the condition.
Ana-Luise has Type 1 diabetes which she has had since the age of 11. There is no history of the disease in the families which is thought to be a contributing factor. The cause of type 1 Diabetes is still unknown. Type 1 Diabetes has no connection to bad diet.

Ana-Luise still finds it difficult to control her blood sugar levels and it causes many constraints on her life.

Someone is diagnosed with diabetes every two minutes. Your donation can change lives.
Please donate to the Diabetes UK charity through our just giving page and help support this essential and worthwhile cause.
Thank you for your visit

2017 - Dementia UK
A year ago Bobby's dad was diagnosed with vascular dementia and Alzheimers. Over the last 12 months we have seen, at first hand, the progressive effects of these degenerative diseases.

We have been made aware that there is a desperate need for money to help fund nursing care for all those affected, whether it be the individual or support for the whole family.

Bobby and I try to do a cycle ride each year to raise funds for a charity, of our choice. This year's cycle has been named the 'Door to Door'. We will travel from Blackburn Lancashire to Edinburgh, about 220 miles.

Please donate to the Dementia UK charity through our just giving page and help support this essential and worthwhile cause.

Thank you for your visit

As of May 2018 the total raised for Dementia UK is £860.
A Huge thank you to all who have supported us. Please look for the next adventure 😊

2014 - RNLI Lifeboats
Al normally collects for the Lifeboats in his area but due to changes in the RNLI organisation in the area there is not to be a collection in Al's area in 2014 so Bobby and Al have decided to use the 2014 cycle to help raise some of the funds for 2014.
The People of the RNLI risk there lives to save others and can only save those lives because of charitable donations. Please visit our donation page if it is still open and donate as much as you can :0)

As of the end of September 2014, this years ride, has managed to raise a total of £556.25 (including Gift  aid)

A big thank you to all those that donated :0)

In 2013  Neaves Fund

We received the following email from Neaves Fund

A great big thank you to Robert Worden and Alasdair Taylor on completing the  Skye High Cycle for Neave's Fund

On June 17th Robert Worden and Alasdair Taylor set off on a week long cycle around the Isle of Skye in the Scottish Highlands.  Robert, from Great Harwood, became aware of Neave and her fundraising and wanted to help with the building of her sensory room so decided their annual challenge would be to benefit Neave's Fund.

A massive thank you from Neave, they have raised a grand total of £568.11 towards the sensory room that will really make a difference.
